OK, it is ski season now so the boat is on hold. Mike has made some trips to clean,paint, etc. Tom and I did some scraping and sanding, but really no progress to report. Well, we did bring the tiller home to refinish. Anyway, ski season is short in Virginia so we will be back to the boat project in no time.
Tom and I decided we are buying each other boat parts for Christmas. He said "Great we need all new sheets." I said, "Cool, can they be monogrammed?(ha ha)" It took him a minute. I think he thought I was serious. (If you don't get the joke, look up sail boats)

My neighbor, Bill, is one of the most industrious people I know. He is constantly working on something whether it's some home improvement project, furniture refinishing or, and more to the point, taking care of his impeccable yard. Impeccable except for the backyard. His boxer Roxanne devastates the grass. He has tried for years to get grass to grow. But with the trees and the dog it's mostly a losing battle. I've told him that out of trees, dogs and grass he can only have 2, pick 'em.
So, one day I walk out into the front yard and see Bill and Lynn with a new boxer puppy. I immediately yell, "Gloria, come here quick. Bill and Lynn have been abducted by aliens!"
They're not alone.
